How is plus/minus calculated? |

A player receives a plus (plus 1 point) if he is on the ice when his team scores an even-strength or shorthanded goal. He receives a minus (minus 1 point) if he is on the ice for an even-strength or shorthanded goal scored by the opposing team. The difference in these numbers is considered the player's plus-minus statistic. No plus or minus is awarded for power-play goals. If a player scores on a penalty shot, he receives a plus and no minus is given to the opposing team. Back to Top |

How is a goalie shutout determined? |

In order for a goalie to receive credit for a shutout, he must be the only goalie that played during the game for the team that received the shutout. If two or more goalies combine for a shared shutout, none of them receives credit for the shutout. Back to Top |

How are points awarded for a shootout? |
